Man, I have ate at alot of your choices, but I need to give you some more to check out. Next time you are in Danville VA,
check out Ma Possums and Ruebens. I know this site is for slawdogs, but Bubba's Ice Cream is an absolute treat down there
as well. Check out Dude's drive in when in Christiansburg VA. And I saw that you are a UVA fan, but do not have Jess' Lunch
in Harrisonsburg VA listed. Anyway I will check your site to see what you have added and will keep a list to see when I can
fit one in on my trips. |

Great site! I was looking for a review of Carolina BBQ in Statesville when I found yours. My family heads south several times
each year, and we always make it a point to have the Q plate at Carolina. Exceptionally friendly place. When we're staying
with family in Georgia we eat at A and J's Tasty Pig. Unfortunately, the place had a major fire last winter. Snellville, GA
will never be the same! Have you ever visited Poole's in east Ellijay, GA? The old restaurant was a classic with bare masonite
floors and tin siding. World's best BBQ beans. |

Again, the Americana -- the photographs of great little places and some of the people who work there; the signs, the cities.
You seem to only include the good places in your reviews, which is fine. Why waste time with the bad places? You're acknowledging
and preserving an endangered part of our American culture -- the mom & pop barbecue and burger joints (with real milkshakes
or sweet tea). The site is a noble cause and a valuable resource. |
