R.I.P. Shelley! It has been 10 years since she has passed, not a day goes by that I don't think about her (or Mark, John,
Kevin & Billy).
I miss my friends dearly, but I know they are happy and healthy where they are now. I wish that just once we could hang out
one more time, but that still wouldn't be enough.
Many things have changed since Shelley passed away, but I can still see her smile and have many great memories growing up
with her and playing 'house' as kids when we didn't have a care in the world... how I miss those days, but I know she is looking
over all of us having a blast with Mark.

I knew Mark from the sixth grade at Beasley to our senior year at Mehlville, but not as well as my Uncle Bob and his family
at St. Francis of Assisi. It doesn't seem like it has been nearly five years since his death. Hopefully the DeWalle family
found ways to cope and moved on with their lives.
I wish Mark, John, Kevin, and Shelley were alive and see me because I have lost a lot of weight recently. And they knew me

Hi Barb. It is good to see you writing again. As most people said, we always look for a new post from you. Please do not think
that we don't continuously look for your writings, and no matter what kind of feelings you have we are happy to see that you
still continue to share them with us. I know I didn't know Mark as well as most of his high school friends, but I still feel
honored to say that I did know him. Any time I went out with him, I had a great time; he made me laugh one way or another.
I'm sorry I haven't made the effort to see or communicate with you and Don as much as I had in the past, but I want you to
know I think about you both quite often. I hope you are doing as good as you can, and even though the holidays are hard, I
hope you get through them and enjoy them. A good friend of mine passed away right after high school, her 10 year anniversary
was last week, and it made me think of you. I know that probably isn't the right time to necessarily think of someone, but
it made me think of the feelings of loss and anger I have in my life, and then I started thinking about all the good I had
with her...it helps me remember why she was in my life in the first place. It makes me think about what a wonderful person

My son Brandon Zufall (#27), was the recepient of Mark's award last night at the 2011 Banquest. After reading about Mark,
I could not be prouder of my son and the honor of him being awarded Mark's medal. I can tell you this, Brandon was very moved
(and surprised) and I can asure you, he will keep Mark's Panther spirit alive the rest of his life.

Well, I read them...and I think whatever it takes for you to keep remembering him is good, whatever you feel is valid, however

I did not know Mark personally but I heard of him through others. I was Mehlville Class of 1999. I was friends with some

For Lent, I tried to make a point to read a little of the Bible each day.
When I was choosing passages, I saw this description about the Gospel of Mark: "Mark’s Gospel is a simple, succinct, unadorned,
yet vivid account of Jesus’ ministry, emphasizing more what Jesus did than what he said. Mark moves quickly from one episode
in Jesus’ life and ministry to another, often using the adverb “immediately”

My 14 year old nephew Zephanaih Villarreal was just diagnosed with DSRCT. We live in Fort Myers, Florida and he had to be
flown to NYC for treatment. I am sorry for your loss, but I do feel Mark can be Zeph's angel and help him through his fight.
