Working at the church office, I have witnessed what proper Christian counseling can do for a hurting, wounded person. I see
people coming in to the office with hurts, depression, grief, feeling hopeless, and when they leave, I can see the glimmer
of hope and understanding on their faces.
The hours at the office can be long, but they are worth it when I see someone leave with a lighter load than when they first
arrived.
I encourage you to read Pastor Reydon's articles and tell a friend about this site. They can really help us understand why
we feel the way we do, why we sometimes act the way we do, and to help us to understand and reach out to help a loved one
that's hurting. |

I have been counciling with Reydon now about 3 weeks. Every week when I leave his office I feel like I have made huge milestones
of improvments because of his complete understanding of my issues, and his knowledge of 'what makes people tick', God has
given him the gift of being able to explain things in such a way I am able to easily apply what I've learned from him! Because
of this, I can see changes daily in my thoughts as well as my actions. I feel truly blessed to have happened upon such a great
man to help me work out the struggles I was facing! Also, Reydon's ability to be able to recognize things about me that I
did'nt even realize (until I left and things began to come to light) is amazing and could only come from years and years of
experience! Thank you, thank you, thank you Reydon! You have helped me immensely and I will forever be grateful to you! I
wish every person I know could have 6 weeks with you, so they could experience the positive growth that I have!

The article on delusional thinking was great.A friends brother was Sgt John Russell. He was the shooter who killed 5 fellow
soldiers at Iraq base on May 12, 2009.Please keep him and his family in prayer, as well as the soliders family that died.
It has broken so many hearts. The Army wrote articles that they didn't know how to treat these soliders. He went to seek help
and they sent him away. |

Thank you for this excellent article. I agree that it would be so beneficial for people/society/mankind to take classes in
"relationships". I am the first person that needs to sign up for this course. I agree w/ the ignorance point. People don't
always try to hurt me (or others) with flippant or insensitive statements (I'm learning to not respond like they set out to
be mean....) I am guilty of not knowing how to engage w/ people and meet their needs either. I have so much to learn! I really

HEY! WHEN I FIRST READ THE CAPTION TO THIS JOURNAL ENTRY MY HEART SKIPPED SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 3 AND 20 BEATS; BUT THEN WHEN
I GOT INTO READING THE BODY OF YOUR JOUNAL ENTRY AND BEGAN LAUGHING UNTIL TEARS ROLLED DOWN MY FACE. MY HUSBAND, MACK, PASSED
AWAY LAST FEBRUARY AND WE HAD 26 YEARS OF A FEW HEART ACHES AND MUCH LAUGHING TOGETHER, MOSTLY LAUGHING. HE HAD ALWAYS TOLD
OUR KIDS THAT WHEN HE DIED HE WANTED A SHOVEL PLACED IN THE CASKET WITH HIM "JUST IN CASE." AMID ALL THE SADNESS HIS WORDS
CAME BACK TO US AND MAINTAINING OUR YEARS OF WONDERFUL MERTH, WE DID, INDEED, PLACE A SHOVEL IN HIS CASKET.
THIS KIND OF JOKING AND LAUGHTER HAS MADE OUR ADJUSTMENT TO HIS ABSENCE MUCH EASIER TO ACCEPT. ONE SUCH INSTANCE WAS WHEN
THE TIME CAME IN THE SPRING TO CHANGE THE TIME ON THE CLOCKS, I CHANGED 2 OR 3 OF THEM AND LEFT THE OTHERS AS THEY WERE. EVERY
TIME A VISITOR WOULD ASK ME WHY I HAD NOT CHANGED ALL THE CLOCKS IN THE HOUSE I REPLY THAT WAS MACK'S JOB AND HE HASN'T GOT
AROUND TO CHANGING THEM YET. THEN LAST WEEK WHEN THE TIME CHANGED AGAIN ALL OF THEM ARE NOW CORRECT. ONE OR TWO VISITORS
HAVE INQUIRED IF MACK CAME BACK AND FIXED THEM LAST SUNDAY NIGHT. I JUST GIVE THEM A LOOK AND A NOD AND EVERYONE LAUGHS.

I had asked you to pray for my friends son Jared Eggemeyer. He is now with the Lord as of July 16th. He was 27.
He had a low immusytem and sick liver. Ten years of battle and it progressed into Cancer. Please pray for his parents Jimmy
and Donna Eggemeyer, Brother Curtis and wife Shannon, and Sister Lisa Eggemeyer. Jared's wife Beth Eggemeyer. Yes Grandparents,
aunts uncles cousins and dear friends. We miss you Jared. Thank you for your prayers. The mom Donna mentioned that she
is dealing with it hour by hour. Yes they all know the Lord and Jared funeral was a testamony of his life living for Jesus.
The enemy does not like that. As you know. You are in our prayers too. I love listening to the Sunday service in my car

I would like to ask for faith to bring the young man home who has been kidnapped in Afganistan. God has really made me feel

Reydon, I just happen to be reading today, an excerpt from Chas. Sprugeon in his book "Lecture to my Students". A chapter
titled "The Ministers'
fainting fits" talk about his prolonged attacks of depression. It is a wonderful explanation of why this problem happens
to God's leaders. If you havent read it, you would enjoy it. It really explains our sufferings. Your article was very touching.

good morning reydon, yes you are being candid, but being transparent is being made more in his image, we are all humans, you
are so right, so many factors involved, does not take away from your called ministry, you shared so beautifully, just seen
a video where benny hinn was healed of heart disease after 20 years, don't know how recent, but,who would have thought it,
we know god takes our frailties, as we are and uses our lives regardless. my question: would your ministry have been more
effective without suffering for christ's sake? i know you are right on target for god's plan in your life. love you, god bless

"Jesus Wept", ministered to me more than I can say...we are going through something that I don't really understand. I have,
at moments asked the Lord...in anger, "Why have you allowed this? Why have you brought us here?" I've gotten past that,
for the most part, and realize that He is working this season into His purposes. I was so blessed to read your post at a
difficult moment...in a moment of weakness, fear and frustration. Thank you for being sensitive to the Spirit..I believe
that message was meant just for me! I know that He has provided and He loves me. I know that He sees my tears and He sends
the right word at the right time. He lets me know that He is here in the midst of this w/us. He is the Name above all names,
