Later part of 74 or early 75,during MED CRUISE deployment,going thru the straits of Gibraltar,4 Soviet Submarines popped the
cork.One was on fire and a soviet sub tender cut across the bow so close,that if we had'nt altered course,we would have collided,or
rammed her amidships.I was boatswains mate on watch at the time and my starboard look out first noticed the smoke.I hung around
mostly with DK3 Alan Funk,from Dumas Texas.Oh the times we had in Palma!!!!YEEEHHHAAAWWWW. |
