Comments: Ciao to all. My wife and I are delighted we came across this site. I’ve been scratching my head for this info for hours and I will be encouraging my friends to stop by. The other day I was skipping through the best sites out there trying to determine the right solution to my persistant questions. Now I am planning to take more responsibility in whatever form I can. We are getting all spaced out on the revelations we are observing. Moreover, I just desired to thank you immediately for such beneficial knowledge. This has opened me out of unhealthy habits. Many bittersweet improvements are seeding in my world. Its really a fantastic website to make new relationships. I must make mention that I am investigating. Here is my new hobby, take a look my newly created Site:clermont florida engagement photographer in Sarasota FL

Comments: my friends from work and I have been searching about lately. The type of specifics here on the webpage is excellent and helpful and will assist my friends and I in our studies several times a week. It seems like all of the members here acquired a large amount of info about this and the other links and info like wise show it. I'm not typically browsing websites during the day however when I have a drink i'm usually perusing for this sort of knowledge and things similarly having to do with it. If anyone gets a chance, check out at my site. manuscripts edit service

Comments: Drew, in regards to your comments on ancient culture and its view of homosexual relationships I have to let you know that it simply is not true that ancient cultures in the first century and of the Palestinian geographical area were not aware of committed homosexual unions. The Greek culture, which was clearly well known by the early biblical writers had been discussing these issues for centuries. Plato in the symposium spends a huge amount of time selling his audience on committed homosexual union. I just finished a graduate Greek class at MU for my MA in Greek language which was completely devoted to this topic. Saying that the biblical writers were ignorant of these relationships is simply unthinkable in view of the widespread practice of this particular part of the Greek culture. It is also clear from the language used in scripture that what is in view is the physical act in which homosexual union participates. I have a great deal of sympathy for those who are struggling with same sex attraction just like I do with each human who is struggling with urges which are outside the scope of moral behavior. The struggle is not the sin, but scripture is clear that participating in this sexual union is just as out of bounds as giving in to the desire to commit adultery or participate in sexual relations outside of the covenant agreement of marriage. Hope that you rethink your position in this incredibly important and sensitive subject. Sharing in God's Grace Darryl Ammon

Comments: Roy, That line's great and couldn't be more true. Lindsay, There's a fine line between justice and protecting the innocent and lusting after blood and vengeance, and that's one that we're not very good at walking. I'm with you on the Sandusky situation - it's super, SUPER hard to be Christ like in a situation like that; and it's hard to see how God would love a man who could do those things. Of course, I've definitely done things that would make other people say the same thing, and that perspective helps me. Sara, If we're Christians, we already have God's approval - the question is, how do we help those in the world get that same approval? An argument can certainly be made for things like the Chick-Fil-A day being a vessel that can show how passionately we want to defend the truth; and an argument can be made that it did a whole lot more harm than good. My point isn't really either of those things - my point is that if we aren't Christ-like when we make the arguments, it doesn't matter what argument we're making - we're doing it wrong. And that's something the people who need to hear the gospel can see just as clearly as you and I, and it's an enormous barrier between us and them, when the Gospel is intended to take that barrier away.

Comments: Tough Row to Hoe Jesus said, “If anyone is ashamed of me, AND MY WORDS,… the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in His father’s glory.” (Mark 8:38) These words are extremely hard to live out but does our focus need to be on acceptance from the world or God? our choices come from the heart and God knows it best. Do not give up on loving others through telling them the truth.

Comments: I just hate when Christians show hate rather than love. We forget the simple principals of following Christ - pointing fingers and casting stones is not a way to help bring people to Christ, which is our goal and it most certainly is not a way of becoming Christ like. I found myself in a theological debate (in my head) over the Jerry Sandusky issue - I don't get into these debates actually, I just think in my head of what I would say… "how is what you are spewing all over FB and other places in your life helping bring others to Christ?" I often times wonder, what makes one person more righteous than others and the truth is - nothing. In God's eyes we were all worth dying for. At any point the worst of the worst can accept Christ and receive his promise of eternal life. And are we, as Christians any different from them? Other than we have accepted Christ's love and promise - were we not all, at one time, as lost as what some Christians consider the worst of the worst to be? I've heard Drew say more than once - no sin is greater than another except the sin of leading someone away from Christ. Some people, myself included, need reminded of this periodically!

Comments: Well, I love this blog...and was equally appalled by the last song. But to know that it inspired a blog like this, makes it all the better!! :) My comment is not going to be toward the military, but America’s basic view on government - Everybody says ‘God Bless America’, ‘I want to be a better Christian’, America is a Christian nation, get a God fearing republican in office they will fix what is wrong with this country and our economy….really?? So called Christian Americans scream about their 'Christian values' - ban gay marriages, stop abortion, put an end to homosexuality, and hate those that were unfortunately born into a society that does things differently than us…seriously??? Jesus blessed the shepherds, he healed the crippled and he fed the hungry. He didn’t hand out money, bless them with riches, give them the finer things in life and teach them to feel entitled or be judgmental. He helped those who needed it and he loved those who no one else would love, he healed and loved. I appreciate being an American, and can't imagine being raised anywhere else without the comforts that we have here and likewise am thankful for the soldiers that protect that freedom. But my loyalty is to Christ, my home is not of this world - we are not entitled to anything here, I think so many forget that Jesus said LOVE EVERYBODY, not just everyone you meet, not just everyone that believes what you believe, not just everyone that looks like you or fits in your little "Christian" box, but more importantly - those who don't.

You take to the exact opposite of fire and brimstone. Both ways actually three ways as there is a middle ground, all trying to get the same message across. There is a GOD he loves you and wants to help you if you will just let him in.

It is a reognized disablity with social security if due to a medical problem. Glutton would get almost the whole world, love to dance, love to play on computer just about anything that you want to do more than anything else that you do things in order to be able to do what you want. So wanting to be good christians we should continue praying not just for people we think need prayers but for everyone all the time.

This God does not care about you i see, who i am married to, what members of my household may or may not be doing or saying. whether a person is as clean as the next or as habits others don't approve of. There is only one worthy of judging me and mine and that is the LORD our GOD. not people who prclaim to be christians and then turn around and start gossiping about folks.

NO to be a Christian we need to hold prayer in your hearts always. i talk to God as i drive down the road or sit and watch a storm i find myself talking to him as if he was sitting next to me and i feel this is Good.

I was immediately taken to something I read of yours that stated something to the effect. "Take that! my liver."...lol I have to ask myself if we are that much different than the mother? Some smoke when they know it could and will most likely kill them if they don't stop, some eat, either the wrong foods or just too much(me on both counts) We may and do make some very poor choices in life but your point is well taken... Christ didn't!! He readily gave His life freely for our sins that we might have a lasting relationship with God. With the love of Him who died for us! God bless,Roy

But at whose fault, alot with parents not going to church as a family unit when children are young. therefore the youth don't learn about GOD. Same thing with respect if it is not learned at home they figure it is not a virtue they need. It is hard to learn things from others that should have been taought when we were kids. Society hopefully is starting to come back to the church home. We need all age groups to combine and respect each other and what they can contribute to the whole.

We have the challenge of taking responsibility for our own spiritual growth with God's help and help from whose calling in life is to teach us the ABC's of Christ like living. There does hopefully come a time when we get beyond the alphabet. I think it's time has long ago come for us. My 2 cents! They are the three in one. All those who believe in GOD are children of GOD and shall join him in the here after. it doesn't say you must belong to a certain religion to be with GOD it says you must believe in GOD. You should have faith in GOD that he knows what he is doing and why he is doing it. GOD has a plan for each of us and when are plan is done we will join him. Keep the faith.

All those tricky questions kids ask, sometimes get a "make them feel better" answer. Sometimes I think of things that I think/believe and question those thoughts for the first time, and think back to why I believe that particular thing, and it's often because it is what someone told me when I was a kid...a parent, a Sunday school teacher. I like the, "I don't know." answer better!

Comments: Okay, I LOVE this blog! Because, as a Christian, I've had and still have these questions! Does someone who trusts in Jesus but was never baptised (because their church didn't stress or see baptism as important) go to hell? If so, at what age is the "cut-off"? What if someone believes in and trusts in Jesus, performs acts of great love to others, but will NOT go to church; are they not extended grace? Do Catholics burn eternally because they are not "immersed" believers? Prior to coming to ACC I was always fed a line of bull. I've heard so many answers that just didn't add up to what I would think my God would do!! It is so refreshing to have you (Drew) as a minister that is not afraid to say: I don't know, and then the next time I check my email there is something in my inbox that will allow me to form my own opinion, however it is just that, a thought or opinion; not you trying to sway me one way or another. Or you refer me to places in the Bible that may or may not support something, but if it is left unclear, you always reinforce that. I personally appreciate that you don't put words in God's mouth or create answers on what you would do if you were God. After all, it's not our agenda, it is His and I'm pretty sure He has reserved the right to refuse sevice or, more than likely, welcome ANYONE!

Comments: Some folks keep looking for hidden messages in the Bible. They've gone so far as to feed it into a computer that is programed for such a task. Guess what? It doesn't contain any hidden messages or agendas. It is exactly what it was intended to be, the good news that God loves us and does so even while we are unlovable. How cool is that? Way!!! I'm saying.... God bless, Roy

Comments: Drew I can see the value of what you're telling us but if someone has their hand caught in a bear trap, it's really hard to think much beyond that pain. The same holds true for who are just concerned about getting through each day, hr, minute. Sometimes it is literally from one minute t the next. Heaven isn't any less real but it seems so far away. God bless,Roy

Comments: Believe me when I say, "If I knew what to do to make my life better right now, I'd sure be trying to do it!" I am living pretty much in isolation with the exception of Christ. If it weren't for Christ there's no telling what would be happening. But I choose to honor Him and "all" of my commitments to Him. I will continue to stay in His word and look to Him for my answers. I wish were were having church tonight. God bless,Roy

Comments: I can almost come as close to believing in life that's extraterrestrial as I can in poltergeist in old houses. The truth is, it doesn't matter what I believe or disbelieve, the truth is the truth whether I believe it or not. God loves us and expects us to love each other the same way He loves us... And that's the truth! God bless,Mudd

Comments: Well what do you expect, Drew? We’re humans and are flawed. We are also materialistic. We measure our value or what we’re worth based on what we have tangibly. Our perception is shaped from the world around us. I also find that it is so much easier to hate. That’s why God is so great. As Kim says in her kolumn…Christ forgives. Christ also gives us hope and comfort. Yes, the world sucks, but if I tell my troubles to the people of Haiti or someone who has less than what I have. I’m pretty sure it will fall on deaf ears. I may have missed the point of the blog, but oh well, such is life.

Comments: I am reminded that this walk with Christ is a process. I can only hope I'm not caught dragging my feet along the way. Changing my behavior to more clearly reflect the teachings of Christ in my life is a goal... a life long goal. There are times I would like to eat the entire elephant at one sitting but I know it's not possible or even advisable to try but I need to strive to make each day a day for Christ. Not because He demands it but because He deserves it. I owe all to him. He's not going to love me less when I fail and He's not going to love me more when I feel I've succeeded on any particular day. He has always loved me and will always love me and that's what I want to pass on to those who don't know that He also loves them just as much. God bless,Mudd PS: Sorry if I ramble at times.

Comments: Even though we now know the story of the adulterous woman may have been placed erroneously, the message was clearly one that Christ could have taught. Who among you is without sin feel free to cast the 1st stone. Is Vick any different that that lady? I say no! Therefore I can not in keeping faith with God and Christ condemn Vick for his sins as my life isn't free from sin either. Now I must by my own choice go beyond my own ability and allow myself to love those like Vick because God does. Loving my enemies isn't just a suggestion but more of a directive made by Christ Himself. God bless,Mudd

Comments: Thanks Drew, this hit home today for me. Unfornately we are in a world where people want to blame vampires, politics, economy, and everything else for treating others in a non loving manner. When we treat others without concern for their well being, we do suck their blood. That felt good.

Comments: I didn't post anything about the lady who said she "quit" but now I have heard via the TV her full statement. I believe that the media has tried its best to use her stance to degrade Christianity as a whole. She did state her reasons but also said she wanted to continue to follow Christ and is reading God's word daily and is in daily prayer. I think she skipped an important part in her interview and I certainly would have liked to hear her take on what God meant when He said that homosexuality was wrong. I believe we need to love the homosexual as a person but hate the sin that he or she will have to deal with God over someday. I will not be the one to judge that.. ever. God bless!

Comments: your blog was great. The actions of this gentleman will be recalled in action and story telling by that elderly couple & their family along with others who observed for generations to come. His loving caring actions will not only be spoken of around family tables but others will repeat his caring christian action in more ways and they too will be shared. Great chain reaction.

Is Drew goin mad!? and my wonderful, and very patient husband looked at me and then without sounding too much like Tammy your an idiot got me to realize what you were gettin at then the following week heading home we saw the "other" sign and both of us died laughing cuz they obviously missed it too.

Comments: This is in response to the church sign blog. As simply as I can put it..."There is no meaning without context." Period-end of sentence-end of story-end of discussion. However, I can't just leave it at that. I think you should put the sign back up...and if that is a problem add below "Curious? Come and join us to learn more." or "Listen to the whole sermon here." But, really the response is nothing new. "Christians" and non-Christians have been taking Jesus' words out of context from the beginning. As for Leno, I hope the sign shows up on his show. That would be a great platform!

Comments: I hope your message is getting some "mind time" for all who are reading. Thank you for your love of Jesus and willingness to press the point that it's "He that's important and if we follow His lead then we love each other the way He loves. Not giving portioned out unequal amounts of love to others based on how we see and judge them as people. The unconditional love we are called to certainly isn't 1st nature to us until we realize that nature was left and the bottom of the pool of water we were baptized in and we are a new creation and need to be living our lives as such.

Comments: Wow Drew...Fantastic Blog!!! I've thought of this time and time again and I don't understand why it is so easy for us to have a totally mundane conversation with someone who really needs a profound conversation. I think my fear, in the judging game, is that they will think I'm a quack, and I need to get it thru my head that it doesn't matter what they think of me, I need to plant a seed when I can, not worry about what others are going to think of me. I see people daily that I gravitate to that just seem as if they need something, I try to be caring and compassionate, but what they truly need to know is the love and Grace of our Saviour Jesus Christ. That personal relationship is better than any relationship I can offer!!
