I take issue with a lot of the mc's thoughts. For one they say they have a freedom others will never know. No they don't.
They have tons of rules and codes to live by. Much more than I'll ever have to live by. Until they have many years into
a club and are used to it they have to constantly keep in mind what they're doing to not screw up their standing in the club.
They aren't nearly as free as the average man. They lose their initial life and their life is now the club's not their own.
Another major issue is the brother stuff. If I call my buddy a brother and they took offense they could just keep on being
offended. They don't know anyone else's relationships just like they are saying here that we don't know theirs. Can't have

Wow. Thank You for the insight. I used to work with several local club members at IBM. They can party. Ran into a member the
other day, found out the member I worked with is now the local chapter president. Like you said, its all about respect. Whether
he's wearing his cut or not. I approached him and called him sir. I must be at least 20 years older that him. But I did call
him Sir and asked about the Person I know and that was when he told me that he was on dialysis but doing ok. It was then I
asked him about the pres's wife to find out it was his club mother. He knew I wasn't a BSer because I remember what the club
got him for their wedding gift. I asked permission to stop by the club house and if it was OK for a drop in. He said absolutely.
It all falls up the respect. This isn't a big club, as the "Angels also have a fairly big presence here. They keep to themselves
so its all good. Sorry for carrying on, but just wanted to tell you Great piece. Peace, ride safe. |

The Old Man figured I was old enough at 6 months old to ride on the tank of his '47 Knuckle. I never have figured out how

Excellent reference. I a crew of mates we've been riding with for around a year. We didn't want to join another club a go

The Devils Breed MC was the first club I rode with back in 1996-98 in Honolulu. A few of the Bros were Budha, Animal and

Within the past year, I have joined a Riders Club and am determined to educate myself on the various aspects of Motorcycle
Clubs and Riders Clubs. This is a great web site bringing together a lot of information that is normally scattered across
multiple web sites.

Good info for the Novice. You gotta start somewhere and learning the rules of this culture takes time. Nice touch with hitting
the basics.If you think you can just throw on a patch and be accepted then you are about to get a lesson in reality. Lost

These rules are more the basis for Morality, loyalty, integrity, Heart, bravery, and just down right being old school. The
new generation doesnt get what it means to be old school or be a true 1%er seems like its time to start a rebellion and make
a revolution happen if you wanna join the cause and stand up for what our forefathers made in the beginning then start opening
your eyes, ears to see and hear whats happening right here in front of us thats completely obvious but its like people are

Had to read this entire site when I was prospecting for a LE/MC. Was patched for a long time, ride independent now. Never
had a lick of trouble with any clubs ever, patched or not. This site should be issued and made part of the test with every
MC license. |

it is a very educational site...my son wants to join a biker club....i am in south africa and here all bikers are free to
show and ride with their colours...i suport my son...and don't know how to go around by joining a club....please can i have

If you're not going to join an outlaw MC why would you go through all that to start you own RC? What's the point? Just ride
your bikes with your friends and have a good time. You don't need matching outfits. 1%ers probably won't think your RC is
cool anyways, and the rest of the population including other riders most likely won't care about your club either. Just ride
your damn bikes and avoid the politics.

I appreciate the information within this site. It has been informative, insightful and educational. I FINALLY bought my first
HD and I LOVE the open road (I am a truck-driver, as well). I find myself wanting to join an RC, for the comradarie and passion
for riding. This site had been very helpful in giving me understanding of the differences of an MC and RC, and the lifestyle
and commitment of a "family" of people that share the same love and passion for the open road. I I have definitely acquired

Very informative and helpful. Many articles are very well written and just goes to show how stereotypes are engraved in the
uninformed. I have been riding since the mid-seventies and although I was and am a civilian rider, I was also mislead by the
