Aimee, it's been so long and I hate to be reconnected like this, to hear of your fight, and that of your loved ones, with
ALS. Your writing is beautiful, and too touching to this old playmate, also a mom who knows the deep need to be there and
protect our children just from my own imagined fears, much less a real one named ALS. Daria recently nominated me for the
ice bucket challenge, and I am so glad she did. My nephew has Cystic Fibrosis and a drug is now awaiting FDA approval that

Coincidences never cease to amaze me!! I happened to see a post by Jim, whom I've know since at least high school. I saw a
post from him in a random way and he mentioned his wife's, Aimee, ALS on another friends FB page. I sent him a "friend request"
and was glad to hear back from him. Only a few short hrs later, a very dear friend posted her ALS ice bucket challenge and
low and behold she dedicated it to Aimee. She mentioned the site and I just looked it up. She sounds like an amazing woman,
mother, wife and inspiration!!! I will definitely be following how she is doing and be happy to donate to the walk (I think
in Spet.). I so wish I had something eloquent to say. Quite honestly, the devastation of this disease leaves me speechless
as far as the right words to say. Are there any?? I will definitely keep her and her family in my thoughts as she struggles
admirably to persevere positively in spite of and despite the horrible disease that wracks her body. Keep fighting Aimee!!

I'm praying for Aimee and her family. I don't know who you are, but as my family and I were in line for the Cardinals game
on July 5th, I saw this van with a bumper sticker that said askaboutaimee.com and defeating als. Als runs close to my heart
as my best friends dad passed away from this horrible disease 1 1/2 ago. It was painful watching him deterioate from this

I just lost one my twin great nieces who died at the age of 18 and her name was Bethany Deane and her twin, Lindsay suffer

My heart goes out to you and your family as you go through this terrible struggle. I lost my brother and father to ALS and
I hope and pray that a cure will be found soon as I worry that someday I may also get ALS. I just wanted you to know that

Hi Aimee! Your website is wonderful...a ton of helpful information to draw awareness and what a great outlet for people like
you affected by this awful disease. I am a friend of Carla Brinker's. Our kids elementary school gym teacher's wife was diagnosed
with ALS last December.m My daughter and her best friend (7th graders) have organized a dodgeball tournament called Dodgin'
4 Lou Gehrigs that will be held on January 13th at Naperville Central High School. All of the money raised is going to the
Les Turner ALS Foundation. The girls set an original goal of $5000 but are now thinking they may hit the $10,000 mark. We

I worked for MDA of New Orleans and knew all about ALS, and when my dad had trouble opening his waterbottle, and various other
things, I knew the symptoms. He was diagnosed in August of 2010. He lives in Tennessee and so does my wonderful sister Carol.
I was visiting for the final "diagnostic" appointment and my sister told me she had to go to a neurologist for her "carpel
tunnel". Both of us really had no idea that in October, she would be diagnosed with this same horrible disease. So, in my
family we do everything together... literally... These 2 people are the most fantastic people I've ever met and now, my sister
has found your website. Thank you for sharing. We laugh alot together as a family and make jokes about a subject that is
not funny in the least, but that's how we are dealing with it. I live for the day when there is a cure for this horrid disease,
and will do my part help. |

I am praying for you. ALS has affected my life twice - a cousin and a boyfriend have both been struck by this disease. I
do walks and try to stay on top of the research they are doing.
You are a courageous woman and your children are blessed to have a mom like you.

I was catching up on your blog posts tonight. Your life story should be front and center on the daily newspapers! If it
were, people would wake up and know just how blessed they are and how hard you have worked to get the word out about ALS.
