Sam was a great friend and artist. One time when she was in Columbia, SC she had a broken leg and wanted to ride out to my
old farm in Blythewood so she climbed on the back of my Harley Three Wheeler and off we went. While turning on a Street in
the University the front wheel got hung up in the railroad track and was forcing the trike to go down the tracks and a train
was coming! So I stopped and picked up the front end and we managed to make it to the 200 year old farm and see all my animals,
which she loved. She drew a beautiful picture of me and my horse and gave it to me before the Fair left that year. I am going
to scan it and share with everyone. I know she is in Heaven and her soul is Truly Free.She was definitely unforgettable.

Currently on tour in the UK is a musical play called All the Fun of the Fair and it has been written by long time British
singer David Essex (The original Che on Evita album) The central theme is that Levi, the essex character, is still mourning
his wife who was killed in a wall accident. The shows programme includes a 2 page article on Wall shows and Sam gets a special
mention as being the Queen of the American walls. Although we never met we sent each other regular e mails and I am very proud
to be able to call Sam my email friend. I will remember her for a very long time.

We felt so bad when charlie told us of Sams passing this past spring in Myrtle beach.Seeing her ride was definatly on our
must do list every year when we went there.We were struck by her poise and bearing from the 1st time we met her and looked

I'll never forget the first time I ever saw Sammy ride. We had just landed on the lot at thje Lobster Pound at Wier's Beach
in Laconia, New Hampshire in 1997. We were the 1st two joints on the lot, and I awoke to the sight of the lovely Samantha
laying out the Drome.
I shared some morning coffee and pleasant conversation as she carefully laid out the suport arms, and laid out the sections
for inspection. She was such a thourough professional as she laid out all of the pieces, and carefully ran her fingers over
every last board on the wall.
It wasn't until the next day that the drome was up, and ready to "Shake Out the Barrel". Sammy cranked up the old Indian,
mounted up, gave me a wink, looked me in the eyes, and said, "This ride's for YOU", then she chunked the old thing in gear,
and as she started up the wall, a look of pure extasy spread over her face, and fire glowed in her eyes, and she proceeded
to shake the the walls to their foundations, the roar of the engine resonating with the rattle of the boards as she road so
effortlessly around the Wall, looking me straighjt in the eyes each time she came around. I've been in love with her ever
since.

as a walldeath riders our injury never hurts and our death never fear us. but there is always pain,sympathy and fear
for our fellow riders and in this case for a lovely lady a great person and spectacular performer and rider SAM MORGAN.
i saw her last, two years ago at the laconia bike week , and over a dinner and a couple of glasses of wine we share
our stories from our passion and profession .she wrote her own story
on those walls and she will be rememberd as a legend. have a nice trip SAM. billy diamantopoulos retired drome rider

I miss the days when our family would come visit all of you. I remember waiting around for you all to get done for the night
so we could all hang-out. Sammy was always talking to me and Matt with so much kindness intrest and even though little kids
don't have much important things to say. I wish we all could have visited more over the years.

Thanks to all of you who are sharing stories and memories about Sam. Sam and I grew up together as cousins on Long Island,

I can not believe in it!!!! Samantha was the friend of my entire family. I just hate death, as it never get to me that I can
not speak anymore to the people I love. I have this problem with death. And now it's worth, SAMANTHA MORGAN, had no other
family than WE, the wall of death riders. I encourage all the people who loved her, all wall of death riders of the world.
That her death is an INJUSTCE!!! we've not showed her enough love. I have met 40 wall riders around the world, she's the one
that got the more respect to my eyes.She, renonced to have a normal life, renonced to husband, beacause her love of life was
the Wall of Death. She is now with her second father Sonny Pelaquin and other wall riders. Samantha is in our hearts forever.
My brothers my mother, loved her so much. I ask you one thing: For all wall riders. If we have to keep the memory of one rider,
work to make Samantha not forgotten. Her life was so hard, she fighted against so many things. You have no idea. That was
her fault, she never complained, always with her smile on her face. Samantha I loved you this night of 1988 in Charleston
SC, this moment will come with me into the dark. YOU ARE AN ANGEL. |
