Comments: George Small was my uncle and my fathers older brother. He has been a hero in our family my entire life. He was amazing and not only was he brave and determined he had a great sweetness about him. He will be sorely missed. As I write this my husband David, just called me to the window, we live on Cape Cod and a beautiful Red Tailed Hawk just seated it self in full view. I take this as a good omen. The heavens must be happy now that Uncle George is there.

Comments: I am a friend of George Small's youngest daughter, Wendy. I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Small for a couple of years, and had the pleasure of interviewing him about his war experience. I was in such awe of him and the courage he desribed, but was more impressed with his kind and gentle nature, and his love of his family. This website is a treasure and I am grateful to have seen it. My regards to the family.

Comments: I know it is trite to say that knowing someone really changed your life for the better but that is the absolute truth when it comes to Cousin George. He was, and will continue to be, an inspiration to us all. His warmth, intelligence, and sense of humor touched us all and he will be greatly missed.
