Comments: Your peonies are stunning, and I would love to buy some. The prices reflect the quality, but $600, as it costs in Norway, is a bit more than I can pay, unfortunately. Are there any sources where I could buy them for a bit less?

Comments: I am a hobby-gardener from Dresden in East-Germany, 51 years old and my main profession is consultant. About three years ago I began to interest myself for the wonderful new varities of intersectional hybrids. Eventually, by internet googleing I came across the Paeonia Newsletter and was absorbing and studying all the exciting articles with informations on breeding intersectional hybrids. Equally I was fascinated about your results of wonderful new plants , so I decided to start a modest hybridization program (as a non-professional gardener I have to set a goal that is well directed for lack of time and space ) this spring using at first "Golden Era" for pollen parent and two different lactifloras (pod parents), one a single white unnamed with a strong scent (reminding to spearmint) and the second "Krinkled White", the pollinating procedure as indicated in the newsletter (i.e. emasculating the flower before opening and so on). The results are not as pure as attended (3 to 5 seeds per bloom), so I am argueing that something was going wrong. Also no ruptured seed has been observed. May be I could ask you for some comments or advices regarding the choice of parents? For the future I want to establish an "European" strain (Martha Washington or other "Americans" are hardly available) with more intense or deep flower colours, using plants which were propagated in Germany or Europe. I wish you much energy to continue your programs and I am eager to see your excellent results. Best regards

Comments: All my apologizes for my scholar english(so far away!); I will like very much be in contact with you. Here in france, nobody wants to try in vitro multiplication and we stay with our seedlings with quite no future for those plants. I work specially with rock's variety hybrids and with more interset with species (P. qiui and rockii) I am very interested in your creation and we make with a friend of mine (Mr T. Rat) some intersectional with other herbaceous then M. Washington (I don't have it in collection). We use for the moment Miss America and now also Clair de Lune. Let's wait!! I hope you send me a message and with my quite 60 years I am sure I have a lot to learn from you. Kind regards Robert Pardo

Comments: I am thrilled to see your many varieties of yellow peonies. Where can I obtain those that are available? Thank you for your dedication and vision to what is possible in the field of yellow peonies. Ordinary people such as myself can actually own a beautiful living work that previously only royalty could enjoy. Thank you again.
